The Challenge: Food and recipe apps struggle with retention—most lose 95% of users in the first month.


What I Did:

  • Developed a data-driven retention strategy that addressed drop-off points.

  • Created personalized push notifications and re-engagement messaging that felt like a real conversation, not spam.

  • Designed an email and content funnel that provided real value, focusing on personalization instead of just product nudges.

The Result: Boosted first-month retention to 47%—a 10x improvement over industry averages.

Rise | Career & Job Platform for Diverse Professionals

The Challenge: Scaling a career platform from a small but passionate base to a thriving, engaged community.


What I Did:

  • Took initiatives from zero to one, launching new engagement programs from scratch.

  • Developed a multi-channel acquisition strategy using email, content, SEO, and guerrilla tactics.

  • Overhauled user onboarding, streamlining activation and increasing engagement.
